I purchased 4 spray cans of Plasti Dip from Lowes at $5.98 a can. came home washed the bumpers, then wiped the bumpers down with alcohol to get any wax or other residue off the bumpers. The first coat I applied was a thin one. Then the next 3-4 coats where slightly heavier. Let dry about 1/2 hour before I took it out of the garage and put in the driveway, raining all day here today.

If you ever want your chrome bumpers back, you just peel it off and you're back to having chrome bumpers.

Compared to the mirrors per say how far off is the black ? I want to plasti dip my two tone and if it's close I won't have to get my flares that are on order painted as allegedly they match the oem plastic color as they will all blend together.

DA, It's a little darker compared to my mirror, but my truck is a 2011, so the mirrors may be faded some. In the pic the mirror looks darker, but it's not.

If it doesn't come out the way you expected or for what ever reason you're not happy, just peel it off......
