Default Pitman Arm

So I just received my new MOOG Pitman arm from Rockwork.com. Everything looks ok except there is Some slight surface rust on the splines. Is this not unheard of on a new moog part? Looks like no big deal, probably just been sitting in a warehouse for awhile, anyone else have this experience?

shouldnt be a big problem. that thing is going to get a coat of rust over it within the first week you have it on anyways. i put a moog idler arm on about 3 months ago. 2 days after it was on you could see the color starting to change. just check over it and make sure the boots are in good conditioin and everything else looks ok. make sure non of the splines are rounded or anything like that.

make sure when you install it (or before) grease that thing well. it may look like it has been greased from the warehouse but its just assembly grease. you still need to get some good grease in there and fill it up.

Looks in great shape besides some real light surface rust on the spines.
