Default Performance Chips

I have a 2010 F150 STX with a 4.6l V8 and have been looking at getting a chip to, mostly, help with fuel mileage, since I am on the highway a lot. I would also like to have it when I get bigger tires so I can calibrate and gain some more power.

Been looking at Bully Dog Triple Dog GT, Hypertech, and Edge.. Any suggestion or experience with any of these?

I have seen a lot of people in the forums talking about the SCT. It seems like there are a lot of options on it, is it worth having all those?

I had a SCT X3 with custom tunes on my 2010 4.6 3v, on 93 octane performance I averaged 19 mpg. I got it from VMPtuning.com

I liked it. I have since traded it in for a eco....

The Max Energy PN 42003 for the 2010 F150 4.6 has all the features, shift points, shift firmness, tire & gear recalibration, speed limiter & rev limiter. It picks up 8 HP & 15 TQ on the power. It gives good throttle response & quicker acceleration. You can usually count on 1 or 2 mpg gain on the fuel economy.
Thanks Gary @ Hypertech

First read this and welcome to the tuning world.
http://www.f150online.com/forums/chi...unes-read.html

Second, unless you drive a lot of miles and actually do see a gain from a programmer, they're slow to pay back. Not every programmer is a sure fire way to gain mpgs.
Third, get a custom tuned SCT from one of the quality companies out there. SCT is the only one I'd trust on these 6r80's until Edge gets it figured out.

Companies that you can trust:
Power Hungry Performance.......Edge/Gryphon Products and SCT
Troyer Performance ......SCT products
VMPTUNING ..........SCT products
5-Star Tuning..........SCT products
Henson performance .......SCT products
Tunes By James.......SCT products
Blow By Racing.......SCT products
Unleashed Performance.......SCT Products
Brenspeed......SCT Products
