Default PCM Recall

I went to the dealership and got the infamous PCM Recall done. I changed the start up screen with forscan, and when they gave me my truck back it haf a check engine light. Asked them what caused the check engine light. They said it was from me changing my start up screen. I looked online and it says the technician did tge recall wrong. I just wanna know who is right. Thanks

With zero relevant details provided, best advice is to take it back.

When asking for help, the very least a first time poster can do is provide us with the year, model, engine, trim, etc. if you want anything more than wild guesses.
