Default Painting original bumbers

So I recently got quotes on painting my truck (f150 Lariat 2001). I was told if I have them paint my bumbers they don't guarantee the work because it will peel. Does anyone have any experience on this?

You must have chrome bumpers. Paint doesn't stick well to chrome. I painted mine with rustoleum bedliner spray after sanding and priming. Has held up fine so far for me. Bulldawg adhesion promoter will help as well. I didn't know about it when I did mine, but have heard it works great.

Thanks for your help Jerrybizzle! My truck's now painted and I really didn't like the bumpers painted I should have left them chrome but oh well what's done is done. Atleast my truck doesn't look like a dalmation anymore.
