hey i actually just painted my chrome rims black and they turned out GREAT... i used duplicolor self etching primer for the first coat and the duplicolors Black Semi Gloss engine enamel paint (the also have paint for wheels but both work the same IMO) painting chrome is all about the Prep work...make sure the surface is clean... then sand the chrome with 320 or 400 grit sandpaper so the paint has something to grasp on.... then tape off whate ever you dont want painted... start with 2 light coats of the primer let it dry then 2 light coast of the color of your choice followed by one medium coat..allow 5 minutes in between coats....ill post pictures of mine now hope it works out

theyve been on for over a month through some tough riding and there are no chips or wear on the paint they really hold up well!!!

also just remember its alll about the PREP cleaned and sanded so the paint has a good surface to stick to

i wetsanded it with a powerwasher first...then smoothed it out with 400 grit so it be a semi smooth surface wen the paint was applied...to rough of sanding will show through the paint
