Default Outside temp thermometer

Any info on how to replace outside air thermometer on 2018 stx, thanks

It’s either in the passenger mirror or behind the hood. Unplug it and put the new one in.

if it’s in the mirror how do I get to it?

I'm assuming that you want to replace it because it doesn't appear to be working. But I can tell you that it's rare for such a simple device (usually just two leads of a three terminal transistor) to go bad. Most likely one of the contacts is bad or not crimped onto the wire properly. Check everything before you spend good money for a new one. Be sure that the contacts are making contact with the ones in the other half of the connector and you might want to clean them with some spray contact cleaner.

It’s reading 10 degrees off that’s why I’m thinking of replacing it?

Then it may be defective. But I would still look it over closely before buying another one.

Mine is reading 13 degrees off this morning (It's 32 outside and it's showing 45).

@kp33 did you get yours replaced and if so, did it fix your problem?
