When I was a younger man... I took some tubing and welded up a tall "T" bar that slid into my bumper's ball mount. With an additional "T" about mid tail gate height for stability and support. I then ran rope from middle of my front bumper up over my cab, and tied it off to top "T." I then used a tarp to make a pup tent over the rope. I would either sleep on a cot, air mattress, or sleeping bag depending on where I was going to be at...

It was cheap and very effective... and had the feeling of being more resourceful and bare bones style of camping...

Check out the forum on www.expeditionportal.com. I've been lurking on there for awhile, they've got some awesome ideas/builds.

I'd like to build my truck in a similar way. Not necessarily a full on expo rig, but modded for camping/unimproved roads.

All you're doing is hurting the guy who owns the station, not BP. BP is a wholesaler of gasoline meaning BP gas could very well be in the holding tanks of the station you frequent.

Still, screw BP...or Golf, whatever the heck they are.

its BP/Amoco however you spell it. i only use tom thumb and its Citco

i kno me by myself doesnt do much, but you should have seen all the yellow bags over thier pumps around here a month after it happened. they were talkin of switchin a lot of thier stores back to the old Amoco logos so people would start buyin gas again.

but its over and they pretty much got it under control so i dont wanna bring up this crap again. but i stil refuse to buy BP gas hahaha
