Default Only Hot or Cold

My 2008 F-150 5.4L V8 will only do hot or cold but nothing in between and instead of paying the dealership a ton of money to try and throw money at it to fix it I am hoping someone on here may have a few ideas of what would cause it so I might fix this myself. Thanks for your help!

I don't see an issue here. Mine is either maxed out at hot or maxed out cold. But I agree with ^^^

Yeah I've just dealt with it for over a year since I at least get cold or hot just no in between, which is usually not to big of a deal other than when my wife wants somewhere in he middle . I'll buy one and hopefully it fixes it. I'd rather do it myself then pay the dealership some $400 plus dollars and that was just a starting price. Thanks guys!

Of that $400 its probably mainly labor. If its like the 1997 i helped my buddy with your entire dash has to come apart to switch this out. That's easily an all day job if you have never done it before.... Hopefully they changed something in the newer models so its not such a PITA

I would put a hole in the box if possible to check operation. I changed just the motor, no dash removal on my 08. I would use some sort of camera before I tore apart dash on an uncertainty.
