Any problems? I was just curious cus isn't the tune for that specific truck and then transferring it to a different truck with a different set up make the tune not work right?

I bought a used Hypertech for cheap off a dude. As long as the programming has been removed from the previous truck, you should be alright. Most if not all can only tune one truck at a time.

Unfortunately everyone doesn't always do that before they sell the programer. I've heard of it happening.

if you go with your truck to make that purchase, just connect it to your truck and see if it displays level 0 or unlocked. no harm in doing that. but you need to connect the edge to the obd port to be able to tell. if is locked to another truck, the company will unlock for you for $75... so maybe you can pay $150 for it in that case.

Do that if you are buying it in person.
If doing it through the mail, have them plug it in and send you a picture of the screen. It will show a "0" if it's returned to stock.
