Default Oil pressure sensor

Oil pressure drops to 0 while idling at stop light. I believe it’s simply a faulty sensor. Anybody else have this problem?

My daughter had that problem with a 2000 S10 Blazer, the engine was so worn that the pump had no resistance to build pressuer so at low RPMs there was no pressure, mechanic recommended Rotella oil to give it some pressure until the life the the engine has expired.
