Default Oil pressure?

Recently, after my truck has been sitting for a while. I start it I have NO oil pressure. I found after a few moments (once it is a little warm) I get great pressure. This has just recently started? I changed the oil to make sure the correct 5 W20 was used but still have the problem. Any Ideas?

What oil filter r u using? If not a Motor Craft, your anti-drainback valve might be suspect.

The drainback valve is typically integral to the oil filter.

Borrowing from http://www.freepatentsonline.com/20070246409.html :
"Anti-drainback valves are used in oil filters to prevent the back flow of oil from the filter once an engine is shut off. The anti-drainback valve retains the oil in the filter where it is ready for the next engine start, and also prevents debris at a dirty side of filter media within the filter from entering the oil system. "

Many filters offer this device, not all of them work properly. Don't know that the current oil filter testing procedures include the functionality of the valve.

Stay with the Motorcraft filter, superior anti-drainback valve.
