Oil in antifreeze overflow 1999 F150
Hello. I've got a truck which my daughter drives. It runs fine. I made the mistake of looking things over in the dark when we bought it used. There were fluids in the antifreeze reservoir, so I assumed all was ok. When I went to do the first oil change I discovered an inch of oil on top of the antifreeze. There was no antifreeze on the dipstick. We had the gasket on the oil cooler changed. It didn't look cracked.
We haven't had a chance to check the reservoir since then (wasn't that long ago), so I need to do that yet.
I'm hoping it's not a cracked block.
What are the community thoughts? Anything I can do here to evaluate the situation?
Thanks!!!

Oil is at 20 - 60 psi typically, coolant about 13 max. So the pressurised oil passages are the places to look. Could even be a head gasket, sometimes there are oil passages next to coolant passages. Post up the engine you're talking about and maybe somebody will know something.
You weren't clear on why you changed the gasket or what was seen it was removed. Did you have it changed to try to fix the problem or for some other reason before the problem?
