Default offset on rimss

what part of the rim has the off set what exactly does this mean??

offsets describe the distance between the wheels themselves and the mounts on your trucks. So basically a negative offset means that there is so sort of plate between the wheels and your truck which in turn pushes the wheels out, giving that really aggressive offroad kind of look. A positive offset will let you sit your wheels flush with the side of your truck... not sure if thats what you were asking, but hey, I tried
