Default oem vs amazon ac compressor

Ac compressor is shot on my 2020 f150 5.0. Anyone roll the dice with an amazon compressor? looking like theyre 1/3 the price of oem. considering oem only lasted 4 years, thinking of going with the amazon one. as long as it lasts more than 1.7 years, ill be coming out ahead. pretty sad to say. seems to be the case for a lot of oem stuff lately. im on transfer case shift motor number 3 in this truck. went aftermarket on this last one cuz why not at that rate of failure.

Does your truck use the new refrigerant, the expensive stuff? IF I were to do aftermarket, I would buy local from a parts house that offered a lifetime warranty. Having said that, No I would not roll the dice on anything other than OEM. JMO

You had bad luck, I just sold my 13 with 172K, no compressor issues. R1234YF You should have a label under your hood. 80 bucks for 12 oz at o'reillys. Special fittings.
