OD light blinking and shifting funny
Our other car is a Ford Explorer 2002 V8 auto and I think it should be the same, Drove it yesterday back from the lake and drove great. Today my wife came in and said it was acting funny, went for a ride and the Over Drive light was blinking and tranny was acting like it didn't want to shift right. Pushed the OD button on the trans shifter and shut it off. Light went off for a while and then back to blinking and Idea and thanks in advance

Back to Basics:
Well, first of all, get a scan of the OBD2 system. If it throws a code, then you will have an idea where to start; otherwise you, and we, are groping about in the dark.

The blinking OD light is telling you there is a problem with the transmission.
Go to Autozone or Advance Auto Parts and they will scan your OBD-II computer for free. Post the codes here and I am sure one of the mechanics here will be able to offer some suggestions.
