you should drive the truck with the light off......... everytime you start the truck it should reset... you never have to push the button unless you are towing or in heavy hills...

so next time you get in and start the truck... dont push the button.. and you should be good to go

For future reference...if you push the button and the light comes on, that means the OD is off, if you push the button and the light goes out, it means you now have OD turned on.

It is counter-intuitive. You want O/D on all the time for normal driving. The light should be off.
Pressing the button for towing/hilly areas will turn overdrive off and the light will be on.
So...
O/D on=light off (normal/everyday driving)
O/D off=light on (towing/hilly terrain)
Pressing the button for towing/hilly areas will turn overdrive off and the light will be on.
So...
O/D on=light off (normal/everyday driving)
O/D off=light on (towing/hilly terrain)

where is live there are MANY hills, curvy roads, and hills with curves.. lol.. So I take mine off lots to keep the RPM's up. I find that if I leave the OD on the truck shifts WAY too much.
