the noise has done away the night before I brought in to have it checked how inconvenient for me! Lol !! It hasn't done it since the day before getting it looked it is possible it was due to the cold weather ?

My dealer just looked at mine today, for same problem you mention. I drove it 35 miles there, and not a peep. And yes, it was very cold, around -10 when my clunk occurred, along with ice and snow on the road. The dealer and I just chalked it up to ice. It was up to 43 today when I went to the dealer, so obviously, the ice was gone, as well as the clunk.

Left front corner?

Well thanx for your input on this problem now I know what to expect when it gets that cold out next year. Just hope it doesn't cause future problems with steering parts.

You're welcome. I've had this truck through 4 winters now, and this is the first time this ever happened. Might not ever happen again.
The first winter I had it, I got so much snow/ice built up around the trans linkage, I had trouble shifting it.But that was after 35 miles in some pretty heavy slush that froze.
