Noco Genius5 Question/confusion when charging 2021 F150 battery
Hello guys, i bought a new Noco Genius5 charger for my 2021 F150. I hooked the charger on to the battery and left it for good straight 15 hours. The charger was still showing flashing 1 red bar, same as when i put it on. It looks like the charger is either not charging or it takes longer than 15 hours to charge even half of the battery. Am i right ? Has anybody else experienced this? Please help, i am trying to make sure my truck battery doesn't die after i come back in 3 weeks from vavcation.

My genius 10 will flash for a couple hours before it gets to float mode, but not 15. If your truck was drawing more than 5 amps while off, then something is very off and i would expect your battery would be dead rather quickly and you would know.
Perhaps you should disconnect the positive cable and just charge the battery unhooked from the truck and see if that works. If it doesn't, that
Also, when you charge a 2021, put the positive charging clamp on the opposite side of the sensor than the battery. This sensor tells the trucks BCM how much current is flowing in or out of the battery and so the BCM would be aware that the battery had been charged the next time you get in the truck. If you put the clamp straight on the battery terminal, the sensor wont see the charging current.

Also, did you set the charger up right? My Genius 10 has the option for Regular Lead Acid, AGM or Lithium battery chemistries as well as the option for 6V or 12V charging. Make sure you have the chemistry set right because the charging profiles are different. AGM batteries usually charger to a higher voltage and I am pretty sure thats probably what comes in the 2021 trucks.

My charger is set up right. I set it up for AGM. Can you show me a picture where to put the positive charging clamp on battery? Where is the sensor on battery?

Do not put the negative from the charger on the negative terminal of the battery. Instead, ground it on the truck itself. Also, reset the BMS on your truck.

Its on the positive cable, right at the battery terminal. It should be pretty obvious looking at the battery. Put the sensor between the battery and the charger clamp. I do not have a picture.

Are you guys talking about the BMS sensor, I thought that it was on the Negative terminal. At least it is on my 2018.
