Angry no heat

I have a 2001 ford f150, 4.6 Lt. I don't have any heat, already changed the thermostat, does this truck have a heater control valve? if it does, where is It? I just can't seem to find it, I've been told that it may be stuck in the cold position, or it has a vacuum leak, Any ideas are greatly appriciated.

Jack grossi

Thank You

Have you ever removed a heater core? How hard is it to switch one out, My heat works, but my core is leaking.

i checked with my dad on this. he used to work for ford for 25 years and then he opened his own shop and has been doing that for the past 10 years. he said that it takes him about an hour to tear apart and go back together.

I dont know exactly how long it takes to do that and obviously you dont either. But a lot of people on this site do know a lot about thier trucks and most of them know how to speak the english language. Nobody's makin you get on this site so you dont have to rag on it.

Man, thats not cool. You dont know anyone on here and neither do I. How can you make the assumption that they dont know anything, just because one person posted to get a manual for your truck. I have been a tech for 20 plus years. That is the best idea he could have told you. I can promise you I know more than how to change a muffler. A large number of ppl come to this board to get help on their truck. If the ppl on here didnt know anything then this board would die a quick death. Since it seems to be thriving I am guessing that they know something. The Mods here are cool. Other boards I belong to you would have been banned already for insulting everyone on here.

the reason he told you to get a manual is so you can learn it for yourself its one thing to not be able to find info on something but being lazy is a whole nother story
haha im with NGM we might be talking about tuners on a different thread but im not trying to insult him i just havent heard that many things about it,sht he probably knows more than i do i would deffidently not say ppl dont know anything on here cause you might just bite off way more than you can chew!!!
