No DRL's.????
Have a new-to-us 2013 F150 XLT Scab.
Really liking this truck but had noticed it does NOT have DRL's. Upon reviewing my owners manual I see they're available BUT only as an option.
WHAT.???
Even our old '03 Silverado rustbucket has DRL's. C'mon Ford, you can do better.!
On many new vehicles today they're built with a lot of the "options" pre-programmed into the electronics that can be turned on by "coding". Folks out there who specialize in this process of various makes of cars/trucks. Anyone aware of anyone who offers this service.??
Alsooooo....how do I determine which type of headlights I have, halogen or HID.??? Bulbs appear to be small rectangular shaped.

You probably have LED, do you have a pic of your headlights?
EDIT: thought this was a 15+, you probably have what rnlcomp said and a halogen lamp

Your truck does have DTRL, just need to activate them, you can do it your self with a small Bluetooth dongle and a program called Forscan, here's a link to everything you need to know about that. https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/
You have the same exact trim level and year as my truck so your truck came with large boxy halogen headlamps, if you had HID from the factory they would look just like my avatar. Bigger pic for clarity...
The oem HID projector lamps come in 3 styles, gray, black, and chrome. All of them sport the same single projector. I added the oem HID set to my truck a couple years ago.
