Default Newbie Question

Hi Peeps

well I traded in my Sport Trac and just bought a 2019 Ford F150 XL STX with a 2.7L V6 a few days ago....well im stumped on something....all the V6 2.7L Ecoboost engines that Ive seen have a black cover on top of the engine, mine doesnt.....looks real naked. Is it not supposed to have a plastic cover on it? Thanks for your help!

SSM 47679 2019 F-150 - 2.7L EcoBoost - Engine Cover No Longer Equipped
On 2019 F-150 vehicles equipped with a 2.7L EcoBoost engine the engine cover is no longer equipped. The vehicle is not misbuilt. The addition of any parts would not be considered a warrantable repair. Do not submit a claim for this condition.

Based on what djfllmn posted, it sounds like it doesn't matter what trim level he bought.

Is the 2018 and 2019 V6 2.7 L Eco the same engine? Can the cover be ordered for a 2018 and installed on a 2019 engine?

thanks
