Default New Vehicle Awareness

Be aware that the frames of these vehicles show rust in the north where salt is prevalent. I am repairing a wrecked frame on a 2016 F150 and I am surprised to see aluminum oxidation and more importantly frame and rear axle rust taking over with 25000 miles! I thought they were dipping and treating this?? My advice is to paint the frames with a rust preventive paint like POR 15 or a rust encapsulator. Also greasing the 4x4 axle hubs on 4x4’s is critical. They age fast and it requires someone who will protect the frame and block from corrosion in the north to save and protect your investment.
