New stereo with interesting feature
Just picked up my truck(2016 F350 DRW 6.7) from getting the stereo installed. The new unit is a Kenwood Excelon 9903s. I was surprised to find out it taps into the trucks computer system through the OBDII system. It monitors all kinds of things my XL model did not before. It displays engine torque output, EGT, Intake temp, oil temp, engine load, instant and average mpg, tire pressure for all 6 wheels, throttle position and a ton of other things. It also has a 0-60 timer, braking distance measurement, and coolant temp readouts, boost pressure readings, along with standard tach and speedo etc. It also reads CEL codes if one is triggered.
It is also multiple camera compatible, and I had two installed, one looking into the bed for assistance in GN hitch up, and a standard one on the license plate area for backup without the trailer. The one on the bumper is wired to come on when shifting to reverse. The second is selected by hitting the camera button on the dash and can be selected at any time in any gear.
The stereo and bluetooth is excellent, with calls coming across more clearly than sync and the google maps feature being easy to use via android auto. It does text to voice and voice to text much easier than I expected which since this truck is my mobile office is pretty important to me. It has a built in HD radio, and is satellite ready. I am still playing with features, but this stereo unit so far has been well worth the money. Pics of install later today.

My 13 STX did have sync, this truck did not, the dealer had installed a simple bluetooth add on, and add on satellite radio. The satellite was ok but the bluetooth sucked, so I decided to go full out aftermarket head unit this time. We also have a full MFT sync system in our Lincoln MKT and I like the Kenwood set up much better.
