Hey everyone — new guy here, both to the forum and to trucks in general, so bear with me. Looking to change that though, starting with pulling the trigger on my first F-150.
I've done a decent amount of homework but the more I research, the more rabbit holes I find. I think I know what I want, but I'm having a hell of a time tracking it down locally (I'm in Rhode Island — small state, small inventory, you get the idea). Here's the build I'm after:
• Lariat 4x4 SuperCrew (2025 or 2026)
• 5.0 V8
• 502A High
• Antimatter Blue
• 3.55 locking rear axle
• No moonroof (not a dealbreaker though)
• 5.5' or 6.5' bed
The truck's mainly going to haul my family around, tow a boat, and get me to fishing spots. My commute is basically a parking lot search — so MPG is the last thing on my mind.
Few questions for the group:
1. On the 502A High — what's actually worth having and what's just bloat I should skip? Happy to go lower trim if it makes sense.
2. Anyone spotted this combo on a lot recently? I keep striking out.
3. Is the 3.55 locking axle rare with the V8/502A, or am I just not looking in the right places?
4. Any tips on how to search dealer inventory more efficiently? Feels like hunting for a needle in a haystack right now.
Willing to travel or ship — not limiting myself to New England. Just want the right truck.

I've got this exact same truck. Bought it last May brand new. It's a 2025. I just watched the ford inventory site to see what the dealers had on the lot and what was coming to their lot. But, I'm in Florida, so the inventory is pretty high among the dealers in the Spring/early Summer. Had to travel about two hours to get it {Tampa area}. I just put new Fuel Wheels on it and have done a few other things since this picture. Keep looking. I hope you find what you want.

Did you get it at Tampa because they were the only ones with this specific vehicle or they had the best price.
If best price, which dealer in Tampa? That is about 2 hours away from me and would be worth the drive if the price is right.

It was Brandon Ford off SR60. There were a few others. Ford dealer in Lake Wales had one coming in as well as Jarret Ford with what I was looking for. They gave me a good price plus the ford employee discount was going on when I bought it. Sticker was 73,975 got it for 65,500. Bought new. No trade in.
