2001 5.4 4x4 died on wife today as she pulled into work today. Gave it a jump and it started right up but noticed the lights and gauges didn't have a reading until pressing on the gas. Truck ran for about five minutes then died. Any suggestions on where to start. Truck had been running rough up to this point.

 

I would check out put on alternator.
