Default New to Ford

Greetings! New to Ford here, always been a GM guy, but I really like the Ford body styling, professional and functional. I own my own business, and run 4 crews, so I spend a lot of time on the road. I wanted to buy a truck that has many miles so I'm not ruining the value, but still looks nice. I bought a 2010 XLT with 173,000 miles. It was a salesman truck, so a lot of highway miles. Couple questions, I know the 5.3 GM could last up to 275,000 miles if properly maintained, does anyone have knowledge on the 4.6 liter Ford engine? Also, the truck came from Wisconsin, so I'm a little concerned about rust. It looks pretty comparable to my wife's Tahoe (2002) with similar miles, but is there anything I need to watch for and do to help control rust. I'm thinking this will be a 3-4 year truck, so I'm hoping for 250,00-275,000 miles.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.
