Question new engine install no fuel

Hi I'm new to this forum, I have a 1998 f150 owned since new. Just got done replacing the engine, it turns over with no problem, but won't start. I'm getting a buzzing sound from the fuel relay, and no fuel in the rails. Double checked all the connection everything seems correct, any ideas?

there should be a port on the fuel line/rail somewhere that looks like an air stem. Remove the cap, turn ignition on for fuel pump, then place a key in it like you are letting air out of a tire, you should get fuel out of that port then you can try to start it again.

I'm sure there is, although I'm not aware of what voltage the pump needs. You could always run a hot 12v wire to the power wire for the pump, but if the pump requires less voltage than 12v you could damage the pump if it's not bad. Sounds like you probably have a bad pump. Have you taken voltage readings at the relay? Should get 12v to it and some say right on the relay what the outgoing should be. Have you tried unhooking the fuel line somewhere to see if it pumps fuel into a bucket?

You could try to plug in a known good relay into the pump relay position and see what you get. There's typically a few relays in the power distribution box that are all the same. Just move one over the the pump position and see if see gets gas. If not, you know it's not the relay.

yes all that was done. When you put the key in the on position shouldn't you hear the pump turn on?
