Default New engine

I need some advice. Last week I found an 2011 5l F150 that seemed to fit my needs. I drove the 2 hours to DC to look at it. It had issues that the dealer didn't want to fix so i walked.

I got a text today saying they fixed everything but the hitch and was i interested. I got the carfax from them. It was a commercial vehicle. Oil changes every 10 to 12 k. Then every 5k. Then every 3k. At 98k the engine was replaced at a dodge dealer.

The truck now has 137k. I'm going to contact the dodge dealer and see what they will tell me.

Should i just punt this one?

Thanks

Being a commercially owned/operated vehicle it could have led a rough life. A new engine at 98K, and other issues are indicative of that in my little mind. Be cautious, and do your due diligence before you jump. Good luck.

I checked with the dealership that did the install. They put a USED motor in it. Scratch another one off the list.

Don't blame you at all. There's more, and better out there,
