I do not know of a dealer anywhere in Arkansas who will not deliver your new truck.

Sounds like a whole thread Much a do about nothing.

Replace the truck? Repaint the truck?

This is a small fix, should take maybe an hour to fix. Most dealers have paint and detailers they use to fix these minor imperfections.

Truck was replaced.

Original truck will likely get repaired and resold.

I had a similar experience, but I think the paint issue was probably created by the detail shop at the dealership. There were several scratches in the hood, and the entire rest of the truck looked like it had been scrubbed by a dirty brush that left fine scratches over all of the paint. After I pointed it out, they made several attempts to buff them out but ultimately replaced it with a different truck.

Nothing but praise for the way the dealership handled everything. Top marks for Rob Sight Ford in Kansas City, MO.

As it appears to be just a panel, I personally opt to have it repaired. Might be able to squeeze some aftermarket item for your pain and suffering. Maybe some wheel well liners? Anyway, it sure was nice of them to deliver to your home. Don’t know if I could order a new truck and have to wait for delivery. Even if it was two day Amazon I’d be chomping at the bit. Good luck in your decision.

Did i miss something where this dilemma hasn't been settled yet?

I thought the decision was made, and he got a new truck.

You didn't miss anything and you are correct. Dealer replaced the truck, no questions asked. For those wondering why I opted to not just have it fixed...Why have a new truck fixed when you can just swap with one that doesn't need fixing and in your favorite color?

Thanks for everyone's input.
