Default Nerf Bars/Running Boards

I find the running boards on my 2014 Screw Lariat to be way too "high and tight" to be useful. I'd rather have "low and loose"

My previous truck was a 2005 F350 and the running boards hung down further and away from the body and were very easy to use.

Has anyone swapped out the F150 running board brackets for SuperDuty brackets?

I crunched my passenger side OEM running board (2014 xlt) on an icy snow berm in my driveway. Ended up buying aftermarket running boards that came with new brackets instead of an OEM replacement. Best part is the position of them is lower and you can actually get your boot onto it unlike with the originals. They actually stick out a little farther than I like but they are 6" boards.
