Need to relace Shocks
I have over 81K miles on my truck and its approaching 9 years of age. The original shocks are on the vehicle and they are getting replaced. I don't race or off-road. Monroe Sensa-tracs were suggested to me. They seem a very good value for the price. Parts look to total $150 while I can get a good deal for the install at my body shop roughly quoted for $100 and 2 hours of labor. After shopping around, this is the sweetest deal I've come across by far. Does anyone else have any suggestions or comments about my next truck move?
Here is a site I have book marked that has very good info on shocks, they sell most brands including the Monroe. They are getting $111.04 for a set of 4 Monroe Monromatic withFree Shipping. You can read up on all of the different brands.

Amazon had all 4 shocks specific to my truck in stock, ready to ship (free might i add). They should be here in a week or so for less than $150. Beat every auto store place by $20-$40. Amazon of all places.....
After looking at my shocks in the corner of my room long enough and a little extra money available, I was able get to the auto shop on base and place a work order to install all 4 Monroe Sensa-Tracs. The mechanic told me it would take 2 hours and $100 ($50 per hour) a month ago when I purposed the idea. At the end of the day, it was all done with 4 hours of labor due to the difficulty of getting to the rear shocks. Additional creativity and tools were needed to get those out it seemed as maneuverability was limited. He charged me for only 2 hours of labor which was generous. I gave him a $20 tip for his effort. I have only rode a short distance but I do not cringe anymore when approaching the same potholes as I did before. It rides as smooth as when I first got it. This way saved me $230 from what the Firestone store quoted me originally at $500 with parts and labor.
