Default Need a Mechanic A.S.A.P

I have a 1985 f150 with the 300 in-line six. I did the head gasket and did the head and cleaned everything up. Everything is together and it ran well once, then the nuts for the rocker arms backed off. I need it readjusted and timed. I am paying 100.00 Will pay for gas to come here in North Dallas

If you torqued the rocker arms to spec and the nuts backed off you need to get new nuts. They stopped locking. Put new nuts on them and re-torq them.

I tried but only 1 person in the area still casts them and they are pricy. I was told you can put loc-tite on there and it will stay and do no harm

If we're talking about the same part - it looks to be commonly available - here are some quick searches.
