Angry Need Help

ok i'm a new ford owner and right now having major issues. just for knowledge sake. the ford that i purchased was from a young guy who did decide to take this truck off road and didn't take good care of it as he should. its a 2006 Ford F150 with 5.4 3v motor 2wd. the truck purred like a freaking kitten when i first purchased the vehicle and had no issues whatsoever made me really like what i had purchased. however, issues began approx. 4 weeks after buying the truck and since it was a private seller i'm stuck with the issues.

Here is the issues i'm having. when the truck cranks after sitting it sounds fine at first. once oil heats up and thins out is where the problem occurs. above 35mph it runs great. then when you pull to the dreaded red light or a stop sign or if you have some granny taking her sweet precious freaking time and going 20 miles under the speed limit does the problem occur. it will shutter and shake as you slow down however when the rpm is above 1500 it quiets down and smooths out. if you let your foot off the gas it will shut off as if it wasn't getting gas. then when you crank it back up it sounds like a dern diesel truck which it is most definitely not.

here is what i have done. it read a misfire on 3 and 4 i changed all spark plugs and coil packs. i check fuel filter to make sure no clog preventing gas from getting to engine. I also replaced air filter and oil to complete basic tune up. then problem was still present. put on computer which read po340 for the camshaft position sensor. replaced both today drove it down the road. cranking up i thought i had my kitten back. however, once oil heated up and thinned out once again i came to a stop and thought i was going to have to switch to liberty mutal and make a insurance claim for driving it in a pond.

thats right nothing i've done has fixed this issue. does anyone have a clue what to try because i'm out of ideas. trying to avoid dealership since every $15 dollar part and 30 min of work is $500 out of my pocket.

Have u tried addressing the timing chain tensioners and guides? They work off of oil pressure. When your oil thins out it might not be able to pressure up the tensioners, leaving enough slack to cause the cam sensors to see an ugly signal, therefore doing their job. Maybe even clogged passages in the tensioners. That might be why it's worse at lower RPMS which equals lower pressure and flow.
