If you have the 110v plug in the rear seating area, put a router that has USB HD Sharing functionality. I think the apple airport express can do this but it is also a common feature on newer routers.

Just set it up at home, get it working, then plug it in inside the truck. That should work.

looks to me like it will work...You can ping the other device which means the router is assigning IP addresses and the devices can see each other

SUCCESS! works like a charm. WDTV Live + goodplayer app on iphone/ipad = kids watch what they want when they want wirelessly. As a added bonus AV cables on WDTV plug in so when stopped can watch on navigation screen. Powering off the AC plug on console works great in that it has a lag so everytime you shutoff the vehicle it'll stay on so the viewers can stop video so it'll restart at location where they were in the video vs. having to FF...plus it powers down after I think 10min so don't need to worry about forgetting to shut down and running down battery.
