I sold my 2010 F150 5.4 L to my uncle to buy my new F150..It had 160,000 miles then and about 175,000 on it now..It's never had anything except oil changed..Never been in the shop not even for brakes or plugs..If I had that truck baack I would drive it forever..

My 2000 F150 5.4L V8 doesn’t click but the power steering makes noises. Otherwise, I have to say, nary a problem.

Update: Had to return my rental car today so I sat in the dealer waiting room. Made sure the service manager knew I was there to pick up my truck, as they promised it would be done. Well, it's not. My colleague had the exact same issue and the dealer (Michigan) found it to be the Gateway Module. I called the Service advisor last week to let him know and ask him to check that as a potential issue. They did not. I notified my internal fleet manager and also our fleet company.

They just put the original BCM into the truck and it seems to be working. I looked up the symptoms I had and many are on the BCM list. Hopefully they have it fixed when I get back from this work trip.

Got my truck back yesterday. The dealership never called me. I stopped in since I was driving past them. They really didn't know the issue and kept trying different things. Finally a reprogram set it all back to factory. However I already noticed an issue. I can now start my truck without touching the brakes. They also need to replace a speaker that failed. This dealership is complete garbage. My wife's Hyundai was from the dealer group and she has had so many issues with them too. If you are in the Philly Metro area I recommend staying away from Ciocca.

Well that's disheartening... I got my truck from them. But for the 1300 miles/1 month I've had it its been fine. I guess I'll get it serviced elsewhere!

Truck is going back on Tuesday. I spoke with their new Manager of the Service Center. He will personally oversee the repairs.

So I sold my blacked out, black 2005 F250 V10 4x4, manual trans, manual hubs, crank windows, regular cab, 8 foot bed to a buddy of mine when I bought the 23 F150 XLT

I love the new truck, but I immediately told my buddy that if he ever wants to sell the F250, I will buy it back.

I would keep both.

I didn’t put a lot of money in the F250, it never owed me a dime. I would be able to drive it as a daily driver if I had to. (60 miles each way to work)

Its just that the F150 is loaded with annoying electronic craap.

And you never know what the cretins at Ford are gonna download to your rig to F it up.

I don’t use CarPlay, but for some reason after the last load, CarPlay is the default screen and the turn by turn Nav takes over the instrument panel.

So I have 3 panels telling me to turn left into my own driveway at the end of a trip.

I also miss my 58 Apache 3/4 ton 4x4.

I long for a simpler time.

Just in case anyone is still following...Today is 88 total days my truck has been at the dealer. They have no idea how to fix it and are trying everything. They thought it was the Body Control Module (again) but after replacing that it still isn't working. I actually have to swap my Hertz rental truck tomorrow because the tire won't hold air and they sold the truck.
