i have several Recon Light in my last F250 and like already said hit or miss.. Mt tail lights i had after 2 yrs still looked great and no issues. third break light had a couple of the white bulbs not working. now for the big issue i had with them... I replace the roof lights with their smoked LEDs came as a full set, just short of a year i had one of them go out and you can not replace the bulbs, have to replace the entire light.. luckly they sell replacemant lights at 25.00 a light since they dont warranty them after 90 days.. (come on and LED that didnt even make a yr!!) ok i figure fluke and order another light at 32 and some change with shipping. less than 2 months later a second one goes out!!!! NOW COME ON..... si call call back and i am pissed... no luck with any help so order two lights to save on shipping.. no joke 2 months later another went out!!! lucky i didnt have anymore go out before i traded the truck.. will never B buy anything from recon again...

A truck place up here sells the Anzos and the owner has them, he loves them and no problems. Stuck between a hard place here

Yeah I had a great place to work with where I purchased them too. Returned them twice and got a refund when I wasn't happy with them. I've dealt with RECON's customer service too and actually never had any issues with them and they were very polite. Just be warned after the 90 days and the LED's burn out you've got yourself some book ends. At least with the Anzo's you've got a year but I've never dealt with their CS before.

I'm happy with my RECON extreme light bar so far with no issues we'll see how it fairs it's first Canadian winter I don't expect to have any issues.

I think it's really down to hit or miss. This email makes me have faith so if he stays to his word I'll get tails from them. I really like the look of this 3rd so hopefully it holds up.

You're from Canada too?

Based on the horrid track record of Recon, and really, aftermarket tail lights in general (why the heck is that, anyway? Isn't there a market for quality tail lights for - I don't know - the most manufactured and sold truck on the freaking planet?), I decided to just switch out all the bulbs for LEDs.

For the 3rd brake light, I additionally put 3M strip caulk all around the seal - did that for the Sirius antenna too. Heard too many sob stories about leaking into the cab, replacing roof linings and seats and such to take a chance.

Yeah they have a bad track record but like states is really 50/50. Thought I'd take the chance. Plus this email make me feel confident. We'll see maybe I'll eat my words haha. I know!! 700,000 F150's were sold in Canada alone this year let alone globally, and there is not one good quality manufacturer? If it costs more for quality I'll pay dammit!

I just went through the wash for the first time with the new 3rd. Checked and didn't see anything. Never heard of any antenna problems

I got some smoke LED taillights last year, and LOVE the way they look on my black F150. I'm not sure if they are RECON or SPYDER because I got them from Ebay, but compaired to spyder's products it looks like one of theirs. However, I found out last night that 2 of the LED's on the passenger side are not lit anymore. Really looks like crap to me now. I haven't had a chance to really investigate in whether its a bad circuit board or loose connection. Either way, its probably not an easy fix and more of a hassle than I'm going to want to deal with. If I have to, I will just replace with the stock (red lense) taillights and I won't be wasting anymore money on these LED lights. I was under the impression that they are more durable and longer lasting than conventional, but I spent $200 to find out that if and when they do go bad, they'll just look junk.

Hey Steve

i have now managed to repair my tail lights, it was a small resistor on the circuit board that was blown, take the light out and strip it down until you have the circuit board, take that along to an electronics place in your area and they will test it and repair it for a few bucks.
