Default Was my ECU reset?

My 2012 f150 ecoboost has been at the dealer for a week for an intermittent starting issue. They finally decided that it was my aftermarket remote starter that was causing the issue. I had them go ahead and remove it to see if they were correct. When I picked the truck up tonight from them I instantly noticed that the gas pedal was LESS responsive. I normaly could just tap the pedal and it would take off but tonight I had to press the pedal half way to get the same response. Would they reset the ecu after rmoving the remote starter? If so, would that cause the truck to be sluggish??

Does the throttle need to be relearned?

Oddly enough I am actually seeing a couple of mpg improvement in the city today. I usually get 14 city but today I am up to 16-17. Maybe the remote stater was messing something up? Or maybe just the ecu reset has helped. Whatever it was I sure hope it sticks around.

More than likely they updated the calibration to the latest revision, that is one of the 1st things a tech will do and is what Ford recommends when ever there is a drivability issue. Pretty routine procedure.

You have a learning pcm strategy so once the KAM is cleared and/or pcm calibration updated the system goes into a neutral learning mode.
