Default my 94

i have a 94 f150 it has some issue where it will go to high idle then almost sop running and pick back sometimes. it also has a problem that it will run good going done the road at highway speeds and loses speed and has no power then it takes off like im getting ready to pass somebody. im out of ideas of what it could be looking for help. thanks

I would test your TPS. My old '95 was doing the same thing and I tested the tps and it was out of range. New one in and good to go.

Fuel pump failing? But tps sounds way more plausible.

Check the timing I had a similar issue and found the timing was way off. And also check for arcing plug wires worn/fowled plugs. Dirty intake throttle . Bad ground connection - look closely at the battery cables. I keep the battery clean and the cables were original . The neg. clamp was worn but still held ok I cut the old one off I could not believe the amount of corrosion that was hidden in the insulation. I replaced it and cut the insulation off the old one and the corrosion was the entire length of the cable ;all hidden.
Poss. Vacuum leak- you have too check closely the vacuum lines , along w/ the PCV valve. These are all inexpensive tries before checking the IAC,TPS. etc.
Oh what about the belt tension and idler pulley ?
