Default MPG

Hey guys I'm new to the site and new to ford trucks. I just bought a 2011 Fx4 5.0. The truck is awesome except for the MPG. I'm currently getting 15 hwy and 13.5 city. Is that normal? The truck has 8,000 miles on it. Would it. E worth my time and money to trade for the Eco boost v6? How can I improve the MPG. The tires are nitto trail grapplers (295).

Welcome to the forum. The easiest thing to do is go back to stock tires. Those tires, and a heavy foot will kill your mpg's. The 4x4 more than likely has 3.73 gears, and that will take a litlle more gas also.

So...

I have a 2012 super crew wth 3.73's and the ecoboost motor.. My avg is 16-17 highway and 15 on the streets.. (that's being nice on the pedal) I have the stock 20's and stock tires...

if you're hoping for a huge improvement or any improvement.. you honestly won't get it sorry to say

4.6L 3V with 275/65-18 rims/tires. I have 3.73s and I'm fairly easy on the pedal. Getting about 14.5 with mostly city, maybe 30 or 40 miles on the highway on this tank.
