Cool! I'm looking at the 951 Chrome 18x9. Moto Metal seems to be the only company that makes a 18x9 with over a 6" BS. That works perfectly to my truck, may stick out about 3/4" no more. My 22x9's have a 6.5" BS and stick out about 1/4-1/2"

yea alot of places don't make rims with that backspace, you can't run them with a lift kit, that's a main reason i would assume

So why is it you can't use that BS with a lifted truck? Mine's stock, planning on keeping it that way, I have thought about a leveling kit though... and what about 33x13.50 (325/60R18) will they work stock?

yea you should have no problems fitting that on your truck.

reason you can't use rims with that much backspacing is knuckle interference, the rim lip will rub on the knuckle arm (the portion that is lengthened the amount of lift, that attaches to the upper control arm)

look at this pic of 2009 f150 knucles, stock knuckle and lift kit knuckle, note they are backwards, look at how the lift knuckles curves backwards, the stocker is almost flat, when you put a rim on the lifted knuckle, it will rub, do you get what i mean? because of the knuckle being pushed out, the rim must be pushed out as well

Thanks for the info. How do you know so much about trucks? You work with them or just a hobby?

So I'm safe going with a 33x13.50 even if I want to level it?

you should be fine, may need to trim the corner of the valance, but other than that, should be good. my buddy has a leveled 04 on 33x12.50-18 on 18x9 with a 4.5" backspace and he is fine, plenty of room for that.

just one of those guys who loves to spin a wrench and have plans to open up my own shop real soon

Good choice on the 951s. I have a set of 18x9s on my truck and ill buy the brand again but as they are my first rim I might also try other brands just to test them out.
