I have a 2009 f 150 with black mirrors I ordered the chrome covers oem and wondering well they go over the black covers or do I have to remove the black cover. If it needs to be removed how do I go about doing this without breaking the mirror?

Like I stated I ordered oem half mirror covers not full covers.

 

I know the covers have to come off to put the new ones on sorry.

I however still do not know if the chrome covers well work in place of black ones. The above listed link has step by step instructions on the removal/installation if interested.
