Mirror cap removal
Hey guys, just bought the chrome replacement mirror caps, not the covers. Did a quick search and didn't see much, wondering if anyone knows how to remove the cap? Regular mirror, not tow. Much appreciated!

Just did a quick Search
1st post.... , then continues into the second. After you get the torx screws out, it's easy to pop the cap off

Just purchased the Recons. They were on the list anyway so why not? I'm always breaking delicate things so I only want to take that glass off once at least, that's my excuse!

Thought about ordering from tasca ford but found a company on eBay that claimed to make the replacements to oem standards. They came in and look great. However, they're a plastic/chromed piece. Not sure if the ones from the factory are plastic or metal. Price says $75 but they're currently selling them for just under $35.

Good deal man. I want to buy the chrome door/tailgate handle covers and have someone PTM them to my tuxedo black. I have the chrome pull handles and would keep those. Really I'd rather have the factory handle PTM moulding but can't justify the $ for them.
