Default Micky Thompson Mtz thoughts

Hey I'm new to the site, still trying to find my way around but I currently have 325/60r18 nitto terra grapplers on my truck and they are getting low on tread. I'm looking at Micky Thompson Mtz, any thoughts on these tires, tread life, wear pattern, noise etc

I am currently running 315/70r17 MTZ's on my 2004 right now and they are awesome. I have around 3000 miles on them and they are showing no noticeable wear yet. They have a little bit of road noise but that is to be expected. They are awesome on wet roads even in a very very hard downpour. I got them last spring and only ran them in heavy snow and icy roads for about 2 months and they were awesome. Beings that I live in South Dakota, it will more than likely start snowing here before very long. They are great tires and I would definitely buy another set. I was originally planning on getting Mickey Thompson ATZ P3 tires but i got a good deal on the MTZ through a local tire guy.

They are a pretty good tire. I had a set of 35's on a 2005 Dodge and was happy with them. When i sold the truck they had about 20,000 miles on them, and were probably close to 50% tread. 35-40000 miles is great for a tire with an aggressive tread.

Thanks for the input. Your truck looks good and in like the aggressive tires. Looks like I'm gonna have to break down And buy a set around first of the year. My nitto tires have done me good, good mileage, good wear, got me thru snow mud and beach with no problem I just want a more aggressive look.

Sounds good to me! I would be happy with getting 40,000 out of them. Now I just have to decide if I want to spend the price difference for the mtz's over the nitto's.
