i have a 1997 fordf150 i have a bolt broke off on each side where it connects the pipes together.will it run better when fixed and if i dont fix what happens

 

Yes it might run better when fixed. It will not totally cure whatever troubles otherwise are still there. If not fixed, aside from the ticking noise exhaust leaks make, can cause similar syptoms of a vacuum leak and if severe enough with enough time can lead to burn valves.
