Default Lowering the rear

Hi. I'm new to the forum and looking for some information and input about rear end suspension. I have a 2016 F150 Lariet and i would like to lower the rear of the truck to level it. I changed the rear spring shackles with after market 2 inch ones to lower it already. Has anyone tried to remove the 1 inch spacer between the axle and spring housing on the rear end? I don't want to raise the front to match . My tire size is 275/55/20 which are stock, I just replaced the Good Years with Nittos instead. Thanks for any comments.

Welcome. Yes, many people have removed the rear block. Usually the first thing people do that want to lower the rear a bit. Its easy.

Yes the rear block removal is a pretty common (and free) way of lowering the rear a bit more. Keep in mind that you may want to get new, shorter u-bolts from a 2wd model along with the shorter 2wd bump stops if you plan on towing or hauling anything substantial.

I removed my factory blocks on both my '07 and my '77, bought new shorted 9/16" threaded correct U bolts from Stengle Brothers

https://www.stengelbros.net/?gclid=C...xoCirwQAvD_BwE

My '07 had 2" blocks, so I lowered it 2" in rear. On the '07 the stock shocks had enough travel so I left them. I did lower the front too..
My'77 originally had 3" blocks that tapered to 3-1/4" at rear. I made new ones, 1" at front and 1-1/4" at rear edge, so it too was lowered 2" in back at the axle. I did buy new rear 2wd shocks for it.
