Wanting to lower the truck just a few inches. What are your thoughts on best lowering kits? Has anybody done this and if so what did you use and can we see some pictures?

If it helps ya any, I used the Ford Performance lowering shackles on my '17 4X4. I used the 1 1/2" drop kit, for some reason,I only got an 1" out of it. The kit is made by Ground Force, and the quality is there. Something you have to watch for using shackles, is the box support crossmember directly above the rear shackle. Some kits, depending on drop, will require you to notch it out. Not a big job to do, but I refrain from cutting stuff on my truck whenever possible.

Here's a photo of my truck, almost like it looks now.

I know DJM makes a kit for the 4x4 trucks, it is essentially new lower control arms in the front and hangers in the rear, you can remove the 1.5" block in the rear as well for additional drop. I had lowered my 13' FX4 with this kit for my wife, as she had some hip issues (replacement hip needed), the front end alignment is a little sketchy with this kit, but I knew that going into it, and my truck has since been raised back up.

There are several other kits out there now for 4x4, maybe others will chime in.
