Looking for Recommendations - Full Back Seat, Full size bed
I've got a 02 F150 with the half back seat .. what's that called? Extended cab? Crew Cab? Super Cab? I don't know. All I know is the kids are tired of cramming in back there. Got 165k miles on this truck, and it'll probably go another 165k, but the rest of the family won't.
Thing is, I don't want to give up the full size bed. What are my options if I want a used Ford F150 with a full back seat and a full sized bed?
Sure hope I don't have to mortgage my house to get that ...
Thanks,
Chris

Supercab.
You would want a supercrew with a 6.5' bed. I believe (someone correct me if Im wrong) this combo is only available on 09+ models, otherwise the older supercrews have the 5.5' bed.

Just remember if you do that your truck becomes a bus. The front will stick extremely far out in any parking lot you go too.
A side note, you may want to look ar an 04+ generetion supercab. I recently sat in one of these and the backseats in them are much more comfortable then your 02's. They even have headrests too. Just something you may want to try in order to avoid having a super long truck.

Also, If I were going to get a Supercrew longbed I would wait for a cheap F-250 to come along and get that instead. Just my opinion though

Your irrational fear of trucks doesn't translate to everyone else out there.
A crew cab short bed is FAR from a 'Bus'. WOMEN have been driving Suburbans and Excursions for decades, and some even drive crew cab long beds.
I've owned~driven many crew cab long beds including a dually, and while I'm of course a male of the species, my 5.3" wife wasn't/isn't scared to take any of my trucks wherever she might need to go.
They're not difficult to drive, and the front end WILL NOT stick out 'in any parking lot you go to'.
Generally you'll either run into a post or the car in the opposing stall long before you would drive through it and stick out into the opposing lane, but modern F150s have back up cameras anyway, and a lot of people find it easier to back in to spots as opposed to pulling head in. It's easier to get in and out of.

Excellent recommendations, thanks all!
I'm not too concerned about parking spaces and the size / length of the truck. I always park away from the doors where there aren't so many people. Not because I don't want my truck to get scratched or dinged .. I just don't care for being crammed in around other vehicles.
Looks like I'm off to Auto Trader to see what comes up.. Hopefully a big market like Atlanta will have some inventory...
Thanks yall..
