Default Looking at adding an 07-08 Expedition to the driveway

For the sake of joining a forum for Expedition owners (which I have been viewing as a guest so far over on Expeditionforum.com) I thought I would get some opinions over here. I am looking at selling my 02 Grand Caravan and replacing it with a 07-08 Expedition Limited EL. Does anyone here have an good or negative real world experience with these SUV's? I know that the same motor problems exist as the 3V 5.4's in the F150's and several complaints on fuel pumps, but other than that, how is the reliability on them? Thanks, Jon.

Cool, thats what I wanted to hear! So are you a service tech? I did my own plug change on my 07 at 113K with none breaking. So I am familiar with the plug problems and cam-phaser problems.

i ran an 07 for about 4 years. absolutely loved the truck. only reason to get rid of it was to get a f150 for the bed. i drove it from northern ct to hilton head island sc 3 years in a row. loaded me, wife, daughter, and my parents along with a weeks worth of supplies. i put about 90k on it in that time. only replaced starter, ac compressor, and exhaust manifold gasket. i used it to drive daily, respond to fire calls, and usually ended up being the vehicle when i went out with a group. it drove and handled great and was comfortable. also, was a tank in the snow.

I keep hearing the 07's are very reliable, sounds like they are. I tend to think my 07 F150, although I just turned 120K, seems it will be very liable. I bought it with 113K. Love it so far. The styling of the 07 up limiteds is very appealing to me.

Add on a little $115 spacer-lift from Ebay...a nice set of rims and tires...and you're set

It would be my wives vehicle and she is only 5'1" tall. So no lift. She misses her Excursion so we have been pricing Expeditions. If it were mine it would definitely have some mods done to it!
