locking differential

Default locking differential

Have an '08 F150 XL V6. Auto with 3.55 regular diff. Could I install an Eaton locking diff without any major problems. Thanks for your assistance. Forgot to mention is a 2wd.

Yes, this is called a lunch box locker. I went from a open diffy in my V6, to a locked diffy in my V8 and I couldnt be happier.

I'm really interested in doing that but maybe next year ($$). Please let me know how it turns out and how much you spend...

Default cost of locking diff

Eaton locking diff is approximately $700.00. Not sure of the installation cost but would hope is not over $500.00.

i'd like to do this as well, im guestimating it'd cost around 1300-1500 for parts and install.
